Katy Tallon
Katy joined the setting in 2021 as our Chef. She has a Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety and Hygiene which is regularly updated. Katy ensured we maintained our 5* Food Hygiene rating at the nursery at our last inspection. Katy leads snack preparation with the children, showing them how to peel, slice and chop vegetables and fruits, and they also help her to make her sauces. Katy has introduced some tasty recipes to the nursery menu, which the children love. Even though some children insist they will not eat any vegetables, unbeknown to them they have been consuming up to 7 different vegetables in the sauces that Katy makes and they always request additional helpings! Katy adapts her recipes and meals to meet all dietary requirements and ensures that no child leaves the setting hungry.
